This Senior Session was really all about the car, I think. Thankfully Jacob didn’t mind flashing his handsome smile for a few shots too. ๐ WOW, have I been blessed with amazing clients or what? I also have a confession that is probably pretty shocking in the Kansas City Photography community. This was my first session in the West Bottoms. I guess I have avoided it because I thought it was overdone and wanted to use unique locations, but despite the fact that we were one of several groups walking around with a big camera there…I really loved it. So many great backdrops all in a small area! And after the session I stopped in my new favorite shop in the whole world…The Painted Sofa! Let’s just say if you like my work, send some people my way because I need a bigger income to buy everything I want in that place!

Wow! And to think I was thinking about not taking any High School Senior Sessions this year! I have struggled with narrowing down my “specialties” as a photographer for quite a while now. I decided this year I was only going to take a limited number of Senior Sessions and boy am I glad that this was one of them. Such a beautiful young lady and the perfect day for this session! This location can be hit or miss depending on the time of year, weather and so many other facors but it was a “hit” for sure on this visit! Maybe I will have to rethink Senior Sessions after all. ๐
This blog post should really be titled: “How to be a photographer’s dream come true at your senior session”. First of all, it doesn’t hurt to be beautiful.
Next…why not bring your BFF along for support and some fun shots together?
And don’t forget your pretty mama…
Most importantly, bring a horse, LOL. Yes, I am thinking of requiring all of my clients to bring horses to all of their sessions from now on.
All kidding aside though, this was an amazing session and I had a blast shooting it for these lovely girls and hope they enjoy these images for many years.
It took some work to make this High School Senior Session come together, but it was well worth it in the end! The plan was to use two locations but at the last minute, I realized there was a huge event happening at our second location. No big deal…we just shot the first location and then planned to return to the second on a different day. But then it rained, and rained, and rained which made scheduling difficult, but persistence paid off in the end. Hannah was so much fun to work with and a great model and sport. I have no doubt the future is bright for her. ๐
