Kansas City, Mo High School Senior Photographer: Kylie

Wow…believe it or not this is the “narrowed down” version of the photos I selected to use in Kylie’s blog post. I just loved every single one of them. What a great model (with a model-sized wardrobe along with her!). It was hot and her “dressing room” wasn’t very luxurious but she was a trooper and it paid off with these beautiful images.

Blue Springs, Mo. High School Senior Photographer: Camron

There were so many things I loved about this session. I loved how easy this Senior Guy was to work with and how he was a natural in front of the camera. I loved that we had a Cello! In the woods! I loved that we were able to capture both his Elementary School and childhood home in the same shot! I could go on and on, but I will let the images speak for themselves.

Grain Valley High School Senior Photographer: Dawson and Troy

Parents of High School Seniors…I feel your pain! Your babies are almost all grown up and time has flown by so quickly. Every year I get requests for Senior Sessions right before graduation or even the summer after. Everything just happens so fast! I did these last minute “Mini Senior Sessions” this year for these handsome golfers so they could get some last minute photos for their grad party invites. They have been best buds for a long time and it was great to sneak in a shot of them together. I have now done three senior sessions on golf courses and it is always so much fun. The scenery is always great and getting from one location to another is always more fun in a golf cart than walking. I’m thinking of offering these mini senior sessions at this time every year to take a little stress off the parents that realized they haven’t gotten around to Senior Photos yet and need some NOW! It turned out to be a great way to get some awesome photos fast and without adding a lot of cost to all of the other expenses graduation brings!

Blue Springs, Mo. High School Senior Photographer: Nathan

I LOVE it when my clients suggest a location that I haven’t used before. Sometimes I fall into a rut and use the same tried and true locations over and over. Nathan’s mom suggested this new spot which ironically is inside Burr Oak Woods which I shoot at quite frequently. It was a nice day for a hike which was good because this was a mile long trail, but it was full of treasures like rock formations, bridges and deep woods with the sunlight just peeking in between the leaves. Nathan was so easy to work with and fit right in with this rugged yet scenic background.

Blue Springs, Mo High School Senior Photographer: Michael

This is the year of the guy seniors for HNP apparantly. Senior boy sessions are so much fun! Michael was a trooper and braved the woods and weeds at Burr Oak before we headed to a soccer field and then finally Downtown Blue Springs for his session. Love how his session turned out and how his personality really comes through in the images.

**Disclaimer: I do NOT shoot on railroad tracks and this is as close as you will ever see from my recent work. This railroad image was a stack of tracks that was cut from the active tracks nearby. Shooting on full railroad tracks is actually very dangerous for both the photographer and client and I also do not normally advocate shooting on inactive tracks either because you can’t tell from most photos that the tracks are inactive and so it encourages other photographers to shoot on tracks. I made an exception here because it’s pretty obvious these are not working tracks.2016-06-08_0001.jpg
