I have been photographing this beautiful family for a few years now and get excited every time they contact me to schedule. Being a photographer is a lot harder than most people realize, but I have to admit when your clients are this photogenic, it makes my job pretty easy…even when there is sheep poo everywhere. 😉
What an amazing but busy time of year! I hoped to have an organized Christmas mini session date planned, but found that my hopes of doing that at a tree farm were not as easy to pull off as I thought. I finally found this adorable little family tree farm that was willing to let me come out and although it was too late to offer a full day of sessions to my clients, I was able to squeeze in a couple of them and they were so much fun!
As the year quickly comes to an end I find myself feeling like I’m in a hamster wheel frantically trying to finish up holiday shopping and “to do” lists, those fun year-end household obligations (like cleaning and getting taxes paid), completing final orders and sessions and it’s the start of the competition season for gymnastics so now I’m in full blown “Gym Mom” mode. Speaking of “Gym Moms” as I work on getting my blog caught up I came to this fun session with one of my favorite fellow gymnastics mamas and her little gymnast and big brother. The beautiful fall colors give away just how far behind I am on blogging, but WOW! Aren’t they gorgeous?!
What a beautiful fall day with a beautiful family of 4. I just loved spending time with them during their session and their love for each other was obvious too. I always try to get a few shots of just mom and dad when doing a family session and theirs turned out gorgeous. I think many of us parents haven’t had any professional photos of us as a couple taken since our wedding day (myself included) and it’s a wonderful bonus. <3
I was told this family had never had family photos taken before. I think they lied. They acted like they did this every day. Large families can be hard to photograph. Finding poses where everyone fits in is tricky, someone’s eyes always seem to be closed, not everyone is looking at the camera or in a good mood, etc. This was NOT the case with this beautiful family. They seemed to naturally fall into perfect poses with very little guidance and I didn’t have to do even one head swap! So much fun and so much love here.
