What a doll! The only thing that was hard about little Ellie’s session was narrowing down the images to create her gallery. Obviously narrowing down THOSE images to decide which ones to use in her blog post wasn’t easy either, but hey, it’s my blog so I can post as many images as I want, right?

1 year olds are so much fun to photograph. I think my favorite thing about this age is that every image is real. There are no forced or awkward poses, no fake smiles…just little cutie pies being themselves. Levi was a smart little guy and it didn’t take him long to figure out that every time he played with one of the fun props I brought a strange lady with a giant camera appeared which he wasn’t so sure he liked so we kind of just let him do his own thing and captured moments of him doing what babies do best…being adorable. On a side note, I’m not sure I have ever included this many black and white versions in a gallery as I did with this one. I just couldn’t help it…they were so perfect for this session. Which do you prefer?

I keep checking my website thinking there must be a disclaimer somewhere that states that I will only photograph very attractive people and ridiculously adorable kids because I seriously have the cutest and most beautiful clients lately. Lucky for me, not only are they cute, but they have been so much fun to photograph. Little Dexter was no exception…so photogenic and full of personality. I could have hung out with him all day!

I absolutely LOVE one year sessions, but Graham’s was a little bittersweet because it meant the end of his “Watch Me Grow” package and that meant I am no longer guaranteed to see him every three months. He is such a doll and always so happy and photogenic so I always look forward to his sessions. Thank goodness Mommy and Daddy are planning a family session soon!
