I am so happy Piper and Riley’s mom is one smart cookie and takes advantage of the great deal that mini sessions are…that way I get to see them regularly. I had a blast with them at their summer mini session. They are such fun, silly, and beautiful girls and I love working with them!
Sometimes everything goes exactly as planned for a session. This wasn’t one of those times but after one reschedule due to weather, one last minute change of location because the one we planned on using just wasn’t pretty right now and one two year old that wasn’t sure she wanted to do this anyway…(I obviously convinced her otherwise) I think it worked out pretty well. I was reminded of one of the reasons I blog about each session. When you look at great photos I think it’s easy to assume that everything went perfectly for the session and everyone was happy to smile for the camera for an hour straight. In truth, that’s RARELY the case. But if you know how to capture just the right moments it doesn’t really matter (and having an adorable family like this one doesn’t hurt).
Graham is 9 months! He just keeps getting cuter every time I see him and he and his parents are pretty much dream clients. We seem to always be thinking the same thing when it comes to his sessions. Last time mom brought an outfit almost identical to one I had ready to use for him. This session he had outfits that went perfectly with every spot I wanted to photograph him (pure coincidence!) and after this session we were discussing plans for his 1 year shoot and mom brought up sunglasses…I already had a pair of baby Ray ban’s ordered specifically with his 1 year session in mind! Not to mention he is just about the happiest, most easy-going baby ever. I can hardly wait for July to hang out with him again. 🙂
This year I tried something new and offered mini sessions available to be scheduled any time through the winter. Unfortunately living in the midwest does not allow for many outdoor sessions through much of the winter so I wanted to offer a chance to get a few quick studio shots or even do a quick outdoor session without everyone freezing for a full hour. I’m so glad I got to meet little Bryce at one of these mini sessions! He was just so adorable and sweet.
When I last saw little Graham 6 months ago he was just a tiny newborn. It’s so much fun to see how much little ones change in just a few months. He is absolutely adorable and so happy. I am so happy he is ond of my “Watch Me Grow” babies! I am already getting excited about his 9 month session!
