Blue Springs, Mo Engagement Photographer: B&C

The weather played a huge role in this engagement session. When Brittany first contacted me it was starting to get cool out. We were thinking we might have to do them indoors. But then she started seeing all of the beautiful fall colors and leaves and she and her fiance, Charles decided they really wanted some pretty trees in them. Luckily it warmed up, but unfortunatley the leaves fell before their session and the wind came. Boy did it come! We ended up in Missouri Town because we needed buildings to block some of the wind and this turned into a happy accident because I think we found the last tree to lose it’s leaves so we even managed to get a little fall beauty in after all. They were such troopers hiking all over the place in the wind and laying on acorns for the perfect shot and I think it paid off!

Blue Springs, Mo High School Senior Photographer: Hailey

It’s hard to believe this session was only a week ago and we were running around without jackets on enjoying the (very windy) 60 degree weather. I had so much fun at Hailey’s senior session. She’s such a sweet, funny, and beautiful girl. She has a pretty cool mama too.2013-11-24_0001.jpg

Blue Springs, Mo Family Photographer: A,S and H

I did a fun “Mommy and Me” session for little Haddley and her mommy this summer and she was a doll! I knew this would be a great family session too. I keep thinking “this will probably be the last session with pretty fall colors and great weather” but seem to keep squeezing a few more in. This location probably looks familiar because I have been using a lot lately. It’s beautiful colors and great scenery make it a perfect spot…and unfortunately I’m not the only one that realizes this. We had to wait in line at several of my favorite spots here because there were so many other photographers out and about trying to squeeze in a few more fall sessions too, but it’s always worth the wait.

Wow! What a PERFECT senior session. Warm weather (maybe the last of the year), a GORGEOUS, talented girl with a passion for art and the Crossroads Art District. Can’t go wrong with that combination. Can you even BELIEVE that eye drawing? Oh, and I found two assistants for any future sessions where I need artificial wind. They need a little practice but I think they have potential.2013-11-13_0001.jpg

Blue Springs, Mo Children’s Photographer: MY Babies <3

Last weekend was THE peak weekend of fall. The leaves on the trees were absolutely BEAUTIFUL and just enough of them had started falling to decorate the ground as well. The weather was pleasant and the sky was blue…and both of my sessions had to reschedule! At first I was very disappointed. Was I going to have to let the most beautiful weekend of the year pass by without shooting? But then I remembered that I desperately needed new photos of my own little people and I had no idea when we were going to be able to make that happen! Lucky me! Now if I can only figure out which images and what sizes I need, maybe we will finally get some things up on our bare walls!2013-11-09_0004.jpg
