Chip

I love reliving memories from this past year and this is one of my absolute favorites! When I first started photography I knew that I wanted to use it to help others and volunteer or donate to organizations and individuals whenever I could. I stumbled upon the organization Together We Rise who helps provide belongings and resources to children in Foster Care. At the time they had a program which allowed people who were adopting to sign up for a free photo session of the adoption. I thought this sounded amazing so I signed up as a volunteer. I never heard from them and forgot all about it. Fast forward to at least 10 years later and I suddenly get an e-mail asking if I would be willing to donate a session for a couple that was adopting. I was surprised (since I had forgotten all about this) but SO excited. They give me the address for the courthouse and it turns out it is 1 1/2 hours away, but I didn’t even care. This was definitely one of the most rewarding and memorable sessions of the year for me. Little Chip is such a sweetie and he so lucky to have found equally sweet parents.

Allie, 6 month Studio Session ~ Oak Grove, Mo

I have been looking forward to Allie’s session ever since her mom first contacted me.  She sent me a few photos of Allie while we were communicating back and forth and planning and she had the best, happiest little smile in every single one!  I figured it was too good to be true that she was always smiley, but when they arrived to the studio…sure enough!  She came through the door with a smile on her face and it was there until almost the very end of her session. She was an absolute doll and I can’t wait to see her again for her 1 year session!

Blue Springs Family Photography: The “P” Family

When people think about scheduling photo sessions, December isn’t usually the first month that pops into their mind (at least here in the midwest). But every year I end up with a few clients contacting me about scheduling a session in December and every year they end up turning out amazing. This absolutely gorgeous family was visiting from Texas and we lucked out with some great weather for photos. And I mean seriously lucked out because the very next day we had freezing rain and snow! I’m so happy it held off for a day and we were able to capture these images and have some fun!
