Obviously the word engaged means: having formally agreed to be married, but the other definition of “engaged” is: occupy, attract, or involve (someone’s interest or attention). I don’t often tell couples this, but there are sometimes signs and hints during their engagement sessions that sometime make it clear they will have a very happy marriage. During this session I realized I needed to start directing this couple to look at the camera because even though I had a TON of amazing photos of them, there weren’t many of the front of their faces. Why? Because they were way too busy looking at each other to take time out to look at me. That seemed like a pretty good sign for things to come. I think it’s safe to say they are the BOTH definitions of engaged in and to each other!
